Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Automation/Controls Responsibilities:

Trouble shooting and programming PLC’s – preferably SiemensTrouble shooting and programming vision inspection systemsRobotics – Linear and articulatingLean – assembly line balancing, visual factory, kanban

 

Process design:

Define cycle time in line with takt time and standard operationsIntegrate ergonomics principles in line designRelease manufacturing process documentsIssue process flowchartsConduct process FMEASupport updating plant layoutFollow-up prototype buildsGet support from relevant technology experts or support functions

 

Process implementation:

Ensure equipment delivery and installation in the plant for continuous improvementCarry out process activity analysisImplement improvement action plansParticipate in equipment reception processCapitalize on lessons learned and provide best practicesYour profile and competencies to succeed

Knowledge / Skills:

Strong communication skills - ability to interface with other functions – and work with employees at all levels of the organizationStrong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task.Strong analytical and problem-solving skilledMust be very knowledgeable in Process and Manufacturing methods.

 

Education / Experience:

At least 5 years’ experience in automation/controls with in-depth knowledge of robot programming, tracability systems, low voltage control wiring, profinet networking, vision systems and various poke yoke installationsAutomotive manufacturing experience, including one position in Manufacturing EngineeringSiemens PLC experience is a plusProgram Management experience is a plusVision systems experience (Keyence/Cognex).
