Controls Engineer

Description:

Candidate will be working on equipment that is being built on the client site and being shipped to the Dundee Engine Plant. The candidate will be responsible for working within Mitsubishi PLC for programing, troubleshooting, debugging the lines for start up, and commissioning. They will be responsible getting integrated into the team in the middle of an already existing project. They also should be familiar programming, communication protocols, interfaces of third-party devices like camera, scanner, RFID, nut runner, leak tests, robots etc.

HOURS:

While working at Engine Plant:50-55 Hours per week while onsite Candidate must be capable of supporting 2nd shift (6pm-6am) if required.

After the Project:

40-45 Hours per week in the office

30% After the Project

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Controls experience (Candidate must understand how to troubleshoot, debug, program within Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi PLC experience (Being able to program from scratch, troubleshoot, debug within PLC.)Communication (Candidate will be overseeing junior controls engineers on this project and will need to be able to work with them from a technical standpoint)Manufacturing Experience (candidate must have experience working in a plant/manufacturing setting on equipment)Automation experience (candidate must have prior experience working on ideally powertrain equipment or working with general assembly)
