Controls Engineer
Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description The candidates will rotate through various divisions (i.e. body shop, material handling, AGV) to learn what each division does. They will be sent out on the road with the Commissioning & Service team to further learn their systems. Travel will be 60% of the time and this could be up to 2 years, but may be sooner if they learn and adapt quickly. When not traveling, candidates will receive training on software design, development, and writing software. The goal is to train them to become well-rounded Controls Engineers capable of handling all aspects of controls engineering (design, development, and software writing). Candidates must have an interest in software and have written software before (hobbies, school, previous employment) and be able to remember it. They will be working on electrical systems within controls. Hard Skills + Previous experience writing software + Experience with electrical systems + PLC programming, development, debugging of sensors + HMI development Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Shelby Township, Michigan. Work Environment They currently have 50+ controls people in their department who work on a variety of body shop assembly, material handling assembly, and AGV's.
