Controls Engineer
Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description

Participate on cross-functional engineering teams to develop innovative and feasible design concepts of special equipment or components which will economically and reliably meet project requirements and cost constraints. Responsible for satisfying the controls design requirements. Prepare electrical drawings and control panel layouts. Perform PLC programming using Rockwell automation control platforms and HMI programming using Rockwell FactoryTalk View products. Maintain and develop corporate design standards. Provide technical support to customers. Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors.

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a hybrid/on-site position in SAINT PAUL, Minnesota.

Work Environment

Hybrid schedule with 30% travel to customer sites. Typical office environment with flex hours available. Occasional work in panel shop performing panel layout and wiring functions, with the ability to occasionally lift 50lbs. Participation in 24/7 Support Team coverage on a rotational basis, requiring night and weekend availability to respond to support calls. On-site trips to customer’s manufacturing facilities with exposure to typical rubber compounding facility environment (25% - 35% travel). PPE requirements while at customer’s facility include Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection, Arc Flash rating clothing, and high visibility vest.
