Controls Engineer - Remote with Travel - Cincinnati, OH
We are hiring for a client of ours within the warehouse automation industry. They have a diversified client base where they don't have to worry about slow downs. This team is doubling in size and need Controls Engineers to join their team to help keep up with the work. Job Responsibilities
+ Establish procedures to perform a variety of engineering work in the design and startup of PLC controlled systems for material handling equipment.
+ Must have a fundamental understanding of equipment, business, and customer requirements that drive the design of the technical solutions and participates in all phases of product development lifecycle, including the analysis, design, electrical designs, installation support, electrical installation debugging, and support of other complimentary engineering staff associated with the electrical hardware engineering.
+ Resolve basic site requirement changes and support solutions to complete designed equipment installation.
+ Receive company support both on-site and remotely to accomplish work.
+ System training is provided to increase PLC knowledge to learn to program PLCs that control conveyor systems and robotics within the customer's DC and warehouse.
+ Analyze project requirements and performs basic controls troubleshooting to support equipment installation with internal engineering, project management, and customers.
+ Support electrical installation via interfacing with electrical installers.
+ Debug electrical installation of controls and motor components of limited complexity.
Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
+ 1-3 years of experience in controls engineering
+ Experience programming Allen Bradley PLCS, Studio 500, Rockwell
+ Ability to travel 65-75% of the time
*This is a travel position that will require travel 65%-75% of the time. The most you will travel will be a 10-day on the job site and then a 4-day off schedule. Travel is across the country to client sites. Candidates are paid when traveling and are eligible for $65.00/day per diem. Expenses will be covered.*
