Controls Engineer
Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description This company manufactures motor vehicle parts and accessories, primarily aluminum alloy wheels. Their products are predominant in the automotive aftermarket and they supply OEMs such as Honda, Nissan, and General Motors. This company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to join their Columbus, IN operations. This Controls Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing product quality, and driving innovation in their aluminum wheel production. Responsibilities + Design, program, and oversee the installation of machines and/or processes. + Manage project timelines and budgets. + Build, program, or purchase necessary components. + Plan project details and communicate with other departments to ensure success. + Support robotics plant-wide. Essential Skills + An Associate's Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or robotics engineering. + 4+ years of relevant automation experience. + Proficiency with Fanuc robots (R2000, R1000, 30iA). + Proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting. + Experience with Robot Tooling, Plant Layout, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Allen Bradley. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Cognex and Keyence Vision Systems. + 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (Inventor) design experience. Work Environment Foundry environment which can be warm.
