Controls Engineer
Job Title: Controls Engineer *For an immediate response, please email me your resume to: olellis @actalentservices.com , along with 3-4 bullet points as to why you would be a great fit for the role* Job Description Analyze existing equipment, processes, facilities, infrastructure, and systems to identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions to optimize performance. Act as a subject matter expert for designated systems/technologies and provide technical recommendations. Anticipate potential process-related problems, risks, and technical conflicts and develop the necessary plans to improve business continuity. Perform troubleshooting and modifications to automated equipment adhering to pharmaceutical and medical device GMP change control standards and policies. Create and modify system specifications and standard operating procedures for the systems supported. Train users and peers on systems. Support software life cycle efforts and contribute to the development of continuous improvements to systems. Provide documentation, testing, commissioning, and validation support following GDP standards. Offer project implementation support and perform administrative, upgrades, and maintenance tasks for equipment/control systems. Essential Skills + 4+ years of experience for junior roles, 12+ years of experience for other roles. + Strong experience with automated systems, including automation and maintenance of existing processes. + Proficient in PLCs such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc. (Allen-Bradley is ideal but any PLC experience is acceptable). + Experience with PLC programming, automation, troubleshooting, and controls engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in motion or servo control is a plus. + Experience with Plant PAX and Rockwell software is ideal. + Familiarity with keywords such as Siemens PLC, GE PLC, Studio 5000, Step 7, Wonderware, FactoryTalk, OSI PI, Ignition, MES, Robotic / Fanuc, ABB, Rockwell software, Plant PAX, and Rockwell Pharmasuite. Work Environment Work in a fast-paced, dynamic medical device company with advancement opportunities. The automation department, led by an experienced leader, consists of 28 engineers who are core technical experts. The team currently faces understaffing issues, requiring additional support. Team members may work overtime due to current staffing challenges.
