Controls Engineer
Job Title: Maintenance Engineering Support Engineer
Job Description

Support the Operations Maintenance Engineering team with the continued development of Professional Maintenance Focused Area principles and tools throughout the organization. Work as part of a smaller analytical team to analyze and troubleshoot improvements needed to ensure continued strong operation and improved efficiency and availability of machines.

ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and troubleshoot machine reliability and efficiency issues related to controls setup, and conduct root cause analysis.Implement improvements and updates to enhance machine efficiency, overseeing changes with the technician team.Ensure proper methods, tools, and execution are applied to reduce equipment failure-related losses.Conduct data analysis (current and historical) and root cause analysis.Validate, update, and control drawings and prints.Evaluate machine components for life cycle and develop condition-based maintenance programs.Develop and validate standard maintenance procedures.Work on extending machine life and increasing reliability.Coordinate the interface between all areas connected with Professional Maintenance activities.Participate in improvement activities across different focus areas and equipment needs throughout the organization.Essential SkillsExperience with electronics and controls engineering troubleshooting in manufacturing environments.Proficiency with PLC programming, particularly Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.Strong troubleshooting skills, including systems installation, reset, and commissioning.Experience in automation, electrical engineering, and maintenance engineering.Ability to work with control systems design, ladder logic, and machining.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS Degree in Electrical/Controls, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.5+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment.Proven exposure to and execution of engineering projects (mechanical, electrical, industrial).Experience with robotics, AutoCAD, and CNC driven machining lines.Experience in highly regulated environments such as automotive, defense, aviation, or medical devices is a plus.Work Environment

The position involves working in both office and manufacturing environments with a strong focus on safety. The role does not involve manufacturing tasks but requires observation and analysis of equipment and processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00
