Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer specializing in automation. In this role, you will support internal equipment that is installed and commissioned at various locations. The ideal candidate has over 3+ years of experience in Controls Engineering specific to custom automated equipment. Proficiency with PLC programming (Siemens and Rockwell Automation), HMI development, and a experience in AutoCAD Electrical schematic design is desired. Experience with Fanuc robotics programming is also necessary. The role requires regular floor work to troubleshoot equipment and may include occasional travel (10%) for installation and commissioning.
Responsibilities
+ Support and maintain internal automated equipment.
+ Install and commission equipment at various sites.
+ Troubleshoot equipment regularly on the floor.
+ Develop and program PLCs (Siemens and Rockwell Automation).
+ Develop HMI systems.
+ Work with AutoCAD Electrical for schematic design.
+ Program and maintain robotics systems (Fanuc).
Skills & Qualifications
+ 3+ years of experience in Controls Engineering for custom automation.
+ Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens primary, Rockwell Automation secondary).
+ Experience with HMI/SCADA systems (WinCC primary, Ignition secondary).
+ Knowledge of controls hardware including sensors, remote IO, servos, VFDs, machine vision, and barcode readers.
+ Understanding of industrial networking protocols: Profinet, Ethernet I/P, EtherCAT.
+ Experience with 6-axis robots (FANUC primary).
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls and Computer Control Systems, Mechatronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with AutoCAD Electrical schematic design.
+ Ability to travel occasionally (10%) for equipment installation and commissioning.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $75.00
