The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong balance between hands-on practical experience and aptitude for software development and machine debug of custom automation machines, primarily in the life science and med device industry. You will be joining a driven and ambitious team with decades of experience in delivering sophisticated automation equipment. Responsibilities + PLC/HMI programming + Electrical design using AutoCAD Electrical + Motion control + Robotics + Machine vision Essential Skills + 3+ years' experience with PLC/HMI programming, ideally with ground-up programming from scratch + Competence in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering or a related field Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with software development, motion control, electrical design, machine vision, and/or robotics is a plus + Able to travel by air or car (estimated 10% max.) + US citizen or authorized to work permanently for any employer in the United States Work Environment This is a start-up company setting with a 100% in-office work environment. We have approximately 50 employees and are continuing to grow. We just moved into a brand new building in White Bear Lake.
