Controls Engineer
Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description We are seeking an experienced and creative thinking programmer to join our team as a Controls Engineer. You will be a key member of our controls staff, responsible for creating user-friendly touchscreen interfaces and developing flexible and reliable PLC programs that communicate through industry-standard protocols. Responsibilities + Develop and program PLC/HMI systems. + Design and select hardware for back panels. + Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of new products. + Ensure controls are configurable to operate a range of equipment models and system designs via operator setup screens. + Design panels to meet electrical standards and for manufacturability. + Participate in field usage studies and beta testing through travel opportunities. Essential Skills + 7-10 years of experience in PLC programming. + Proficiency with Siemens PLCs and Allen Bradley PLCs. + Experience with process instrumentation and electrical code. + Strong understanding of control networking via Profinet or Modbus TCP/IP. + Ability to design and program motion control systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in panel design. + Knowledge of industry standard protocols for PLC communication. + Ability to work collaboratively with a process engineer. Work Environment You will work in an office environment alongside other engineers, primarily collaborating with the process engineer. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $72.12 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
