Controls Engineer
Job Title: Controls Software EngineerJob Description As a Controls Software Engineer with the Ride and Show Control Team, you will work on creative solutions and implement control systems for ride and show motion applications to enhance our guest experience. We are looking for a Controls Software Engineer who can contribute to the development of control systems for rides, transportation, and entertainment. Responsibilities + Develop software design documents used to create and review code for various industrial control-based platforms and projects. + Develop safety analysis documents used in safety-critical applications. + Develop and maintain software code for Rockwell, Siemens, and other PLCs. + Develop and maintain C/C++ code on industrial embedded controllers. + Develop and maintain software for industrial Graphical User Interfaces. + Develop and perform control system acceptance test plans. Essential Skills + 5+ years of experience in industrial controls or the entertainment ride and show industry. + Proficient in PLC programming and C/C++. + Experience with safety-related control systems. + Experience in software development planning and documentation. + Familiarity with version control and collaboration software tools. + Knowledge of industrial network protocols, such as AS-I, INTERBUS, ControlNet, Profinet, CIP, and Ethernet IP. + Experience with software testing and commissioning. + Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in developing risk assessments and designs using IEC/ISO functional safety standards. + Proficiency with IEC – using Ladder Diagram and Structured Text. + Experience in safety control system design using safety PLCs and safety devices. + Knowledge of industrial control system hardware and system architecture. + Knowledge of I/O and Supervisory Network systems. Work Environment This is an onsite position located at 1274 West Facilities Way, Lake Buena Vista, FL, United States. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The role involves working with electrical and electronic systems that provide motion control of ride vehicles and animation. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, requiring both individual work and teamwork. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $75.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
