Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will carry out duties in the Engineering Department, including design, research, prototyping, and engineering documentation. ResponsibilitiesDesign, research, prototype, and document engineering projects.Program in a variety of platforms, primarily Logix 5000 and TIA Portal.Create new and modify existing PLC code to achieve desired results.Create new and modify existing schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD.Prepare specifications for the purchase of electrical equipment and materials.Hands-on experience with industrial equipment.Prepare a Bill of Materials (BOM).Essential SkillsProficiency in programming in Logix 5000 and TIA Portal.Ability to write programs from scratch for equipment.Experience with Allen-Bradley, HMI, PLC programming.Proficiency in AutoCAD.Experience with servo controllers (Studio 5000), Siemens, ladder logic, and Fanuc.BS degree with 3+ years of experience or 5+ years of equivalent experience.Ability to program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with wire/cable equipment.Work Environment
The work environment is an engineering firm specializing in wire and cable lines. The engineering staff performs all phases of a project from design to commissioning. The controls team consists of 5 Controls Engineers and 1 Electrical Engineer. There are over 50 people on-site, including engineers, field service technicians, and designers. The company is growing, with anticipated 25% growth by 2025 and expanding into robotics/automation for material handling. The facility offers exposure to custom automation design on the floor.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $57.69 - $60.00
