Controls Engineer
Job Title: Controls Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in programming, HMI development, and working with CAD files in AutoCAD. This role involves a significant amount of hands-on work in designing, testing, building, programming, and troubleshooting machine control systems. You will also be responsible for upgrading current equipment to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime. Responsibilities + Program PLCs and other devices. + Develop HMI screens for various applications. + Work with CAD files in AutoCAD, including AutoCAD Electrical and AutoCAD 2D. + Manage projects, especially those involving new equipment from machine builders. + Draw and interpret schematics. + Write programming for new machines and troubleshoot issues or new systems from OEMs. + Integrate touch screens for new systems. + Teach and mentor technicians, showing them how to troubleshoot and build trust through hands-on demonstrations. Essential Skills + Experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting. + Proficiency in HMI development (SCADA/AB). + Skilled in using AutoCAD, including AutoCAD Electrical and AutoCAD 2D. + Knowledge of Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000 Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Python, Java, C, or C++ scripting is a nice to have + Degree in a related field is a plus. + Experience with machine control system design, testing, and building. Work Environment The position requires a hands-on approach, working closely with operators, technicians, and supervisors to build trust and establish strong working relationships. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
