We believe in giving you the opportunity to also work closely with multi-functional departments (Operations, Risk, Quality, Maturation, Logistics, and Procurement) to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all aspects of the facility.
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the execution and delivery of plant owned projects as well as compliance with project guidelines in support of the North American leadership team. This role will provide guidance and technical leadership primary in the area of project management, electrical and controls engineering, and lead problem-solving teams to address electrical and process control issues within 24/7 operations. The incumbent will also respond to planning, innovation support needs and cost analysis requests. This is a key role to support delivery of plant operational reliability critical metrics.
Role Responsibilities:
Establish and optimally run project budgets and objectives. Includes developing, supporting and implementing standardized project management requirements such as change control, training, construction management, scope development and consensus with partners on user requirements, justification, constraints and assumptions. Must be able to communicate project status, needs, and critical metrics to wide range of partners across the business.Lead reliability projects across all packaging lines and the processingSupport Production and Maintenance Team Leads as necessary, providing technical guidance and direction within 24/7 schedule via rotating on call schedule.Provide technical expertise for general machine and line control as well as associated networking (Ethernet, Control Net, DeviceNet and ProfiBus).Partner with select maintenance personnel to develop training plans to satisfy the needs of both the business and the individual with the collective plant goal of having maintenance personnel that can address controls issues. Track progress and mentor as required.Provide on-site technical competencies in programming and solving electrical systems and subsystems including Allen Bradley PLC, variable frequency drives, servo controls and operator interfaces (Panelbuilder, RSView32, FactoryTalk View Studio) in order to support maintenance.Project engineering responsibilities where they will be accountable for in-house budget development for various size capex projects in order to deliver on time, within budget, and within policies and guidelines.Deal with external and internal customers to guide teams towards project scopes that address the needs for which the project was established. The communications they convey will support the Diageo culture, principles, and values.Experience and Qualifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management expertise preferred, 2 years minimum project management experience requiredMinimum 5 years of controls engineering experience is requiredBSEE or experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Panelview HMI’s, Industrial Communication Networks, RSView32, FactoryTalk View Studio is preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent analytical, fixing, and problem-solving skillsMust possess knowledge of complex electrical, PLC, and vibration analysis systemsFluent in reading and developing of electrical, mechanical and PID printsExposure to UL/NEC/NFPA compliance requirementsGood facilitation and communication skills.Ability to run multiple work streams while delivering to target dates.High interpersonal efficiency to develop and sustain positive relationships with coworkers and craft mechanics alike, and strong customer service orientationMicrosoft Office suite literate (MS Project a plus).SAP system knowledge and experienceStrong leadership and management backgroundFlexible Working Statement:
