Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
The Controls Engineer will execute controls engineering assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, computer programs, and criteria. This role involves independent action and decision-making. The engineer will provide technical support to production and field service to assist in resolving technical matters, train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques, and collaborate with other departments to ensure prompt and effective problem-solving of reported issues.
Responsibilities
+ Provide technical support to production and field service to resolve technical matters.
+ Train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques.
+ Collaborate with other departments to ensure prompt and effective problem-solving of reported problems.
+ Develop and conduct assigned field and shop performance tests.
+ Prepare and review assigned write-ups for technical manuals.
+ Document design modifications, review and approve detailed P&ID, electrical component, and schematic drawings.
+ Prepare bulletins or technical memorandums on assigned subjects.
+ Assist Controls Engineering Manager/ Senior Controls Engineer in meeting group objectives and new product design.
+ Mentor drafters.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency with Siemens, PLC, and controls.
+ Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical/Electrical Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Knowledge of key mechanical components, instrumentation, and electrical components in rotary and reciprocating industries.
+ Understanding of the function and responses of key mechanical and electrical components to sustain operation of the compressor under multiple defined conditions and specifications.
+ Ability to apply compressor system operational knowledge to define and program control system logic.
+ Experience with documentation and configuration control systems.
+ Demonstrated experience working across multiple teams through collaboration and communication.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong problem-solving, process analysis, and business practice improvement skills.
+ Outstanding time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
+ Good judgment skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
+ High level of analytical ability.
+ Detail-oriented and highly organized.
+ Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable.
+ Versatile, flexible, and willing to work within constantly changing priorities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Basic knowledge of Factory Talk View ME and Siemens S7/Siemens Port.
+ Flexible on degree type if has professional experience with controls/plc programming
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Controls Manager. The work environment is team-oriented, requiring excellent collaboration and communication skills. Flexibility and adaptability are key as priorities may constantly change. The role involves working with advanced technologies and equipment, ensuring operational excellence under defined conditions and specifications.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80500.00 - $80500.00/yr.
