Controls Engineer
Actively seeking a Control Systems Engineer to provide or oversee scoping, development, implementation, and support of control system programming and integration solutions for capital projects. Offer technical assistance and support to all factories, disseminate technical information, and ensure quality control of delivered software solutions. Maintain alignment of controls solutions with business needs, internal and external customers, and Subject Matter Experts. Recommend, specify, and procure instrumented systems and devices. Responsibilities + Represent corporate interests in capital projects to drive automation programming and implementation initiatives and standards. + Act as a liaison to customers for project details and information. + Leverage capital projects to meet automation vision and coordinate resources while focusing on future technical vision. + Define, scope, schedule, develop, and coordinate automation projects of varying sizes from conception through completion with appropriate supervision. + Utilize personal experience to approach problems through a series of complete and conceptually related studies to address complex issues requiring unique or novel approaches. + Continuously seek and apply methods, procedures, practices, and technology to improve performance level and efficiency of assigned tasks. + Interact with factory leadership, plant personnel, and various corporate disciplines to obtain input required to provide customer-accepted products. Essential Skills + Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial power and control systems design. + Competency in PLC and PC-Based HMI/SCADA design, programming, and implementation. + Working knowledge of PC operating systems and industrial networking. + Capable of designing, programming, and validating Safety Instrumented Systems (S.I.S.). + Competency in instrumented systems specification and design. + Technical writing skills to support instrumentation and control system guidelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Discipline preferred. + Experience in electrical controls design, systems integration, PLC programming, hardware and instrument specification, schematics and P&ID layout, safety and quality assurance, and datalogging. + Knowledge of Modicon and risk assessments. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
