Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to help create a new product with Servo motors and safety proc sensors. The role involves PLC code modification, troubleshooting, and repairing for various PLCs and HMIs. Additionally, the position requires electrical design work, including schematic updates, revisions, and some new designs for industrial applications. You will be involved in streamlining production and ensuring the effectiveness of automated systems.
ResponsibilitiesPerform hands-on controls troubleshooting of PLCs and equipment in the shop, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Collaborate with engineering, sales, and procurement departments to ensure controls projects are completed on time and within budget.Assist with building complex automated systems for customers.Monitor system effectiveness and provide troubleshooting support on new machine builds.Repair machinery on-site as needed.Essential SkillsProficiency in Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC programming.Experience in controls engineering.Strong skills in electrical design and control systems automation.Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing PLCs and related equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s or Associate’s degree in an engineering-related discipline.8-10+ years of hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.8-10+ years of experience wiring PLCs from scratch, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens (preferred).Candidates with 5-10 years of relevant experience will be considered if they have demonstrated initiative in projects from start to finish.Experience with custom projects and project management.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
