Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join our team. You will be instrumental in creating new products featuring Servo motors and safety proc sensors. Your role will encompass PLC coding, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing PLCs and HMIs, specifically the person and Siemens systems. Additionally, you will engage in electrical design, including schematic updates, revisions, and new design work for various industrial applications.

ResponsibilitiesPerform hands-on controls troubleshooting of PLCs and equipment in the shop, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Collaborate with engineering, sales, and procurement departments to ensure controls projects are completed on time and within budget.Assist in building complex automated systems for customers.Monitor system effectiveness and provide troubleshooting support on new machine builds.Repair machinery on-site as needed.Essential SkillsProficiency in Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC programming.Strong experience in controls engineering.Experience in electrical design and automation.Expertise in troubleshooting various systems including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's or Associate's degree in an engineering-related discipline.8-10+ years of hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.8-10+ years of experience in wiring PLCs from scratch, with experience in the person and Siemens PLCs preferred.Candidates with 5-10 years of relevant experience will be considered if they have demonstrated initiative in project management.Experience with custom projects and project management is required.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
