Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to lead the development of machinery from concept to production. This role requires adherence to design control processes and good engineering practices, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop machinery from concept to production.Create machine requirements in compliance with business needs, standards, and regulations.Adhere to established design control processes and good engineering practices.Design machine assemblies or various assembly lines using SolidWorks or legacy AutoCAD.Evaluate product assembly machines or assembly processes for efficiency and reliability to ensure long-term success of new or improved product lines.Provide technical support for production equipment on the shop floor.Develop the technical foundation for risk documentation.Develop test procedures to ensure specifications are met.Write, review, and approve protocols, reports, and data.Conduct testing outlined in protocols and test methods.Execute engineering and validation studies on assembly machines.Conduct failure investigations.Work on special projects as assigned.Essential SkillsPLC programmingAutomationProgrammingControls EngineeringPLCElectrical EngineeringAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.7+ years of experience in Medical Device Production Machines or related field.Detail-oriented with the ability to organize large amounts of work and data.Strong interpersonal skills required in verbal and written communications, customer focus, time management, professionalism, coaching, influencing, and team building.Knowledge of machine design practices.Knowledge of geometric tolerances, design for assembly, and design for manufacturing.Experience with design of experiments (DOE) and basic statistical methods.Excellent project leadership skills and ability to expedite project completion.SolidWorks competency required.Understanding of engineering mechanics and physics.Familiarity with machine shop practices.Familiarity with drafting standards.Work Environment

This position offers 2 weeks of PTO and 6 paid holidays. You will work in a collaborative environment where technical support is provided for production equipment on the shop floor. The role involves using SolidWorks or legacy AutoCAD for designing machine assemblies or various assembly lines, and you will be expected to adhere to established design control processes and good engineering practices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
