Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to act as a liaison with our Controls group, coordinating all controls and Factory Information Systems (FIS) updates. The ideal candidate will manage updates to FIS extended properties for New Model Programs, ensuring alignment with each plant's simulation model. This role also involves global FIS planning, costing support, and coaching for other regions.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage updates to FIS extended properties for New Model Programs.Ensure FIS is aligned with each plant's simulation model.Provide global FIS planning and costing support.Coach other regions on FIS implementation.Review and approve ACRs for FIS Applications.Review and approve all FIS pilots including reports and versions.Lead quarterly FIS reviews with N.A. Plant ME Managers and FIS Administrators to share specification changes and strategies.Collect and evaluate plant feedback during FIS reviews.Support L2, L3, & FIS Strategy & Governance Meetings by providing assessments, needs, and recommendations for Final Assembly Engineering.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.3 years of experience in Constraint Management or Factory Information Systems.Experience with RSLOGIX 5000, PLC troubleshooting, and programming.Knowledge of PLCs and FIS.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with networking and tool reporting.Experience setting up IO Monitoring.Experience with constraint analysis.Tooling experience for general assembly, including glass cells, tire and wheel, fluid fills.Work Environment

This role is fully onsite, primarily based out of the PDC, with the ability to travel between the PDC and the MTDC in Redford. The position requires both local and out-of-state travel, approximately 70% combined, starting around 6-8 months into the role when the individual is deemed ready to meet with suppliers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.87 - $42.88/hr.
