Job Description
The Controls Engineer position focuses on industrial automation of wastewater equipment, with an emphasis on implementing PLC and HMI programs. The role involves working with the engineering department to automate and troubleshoot various equipment's.
ResponsibilitiesPerform automation and control systems design, specification, simulation, and start-up assistance.Attend project meetings as required by the project.Implement specialized techniques and approaches to handle automation projects.Develop customized programs specific to customer needs and requirements.Program and test various pieces of automated machinery.Upgrade the design of existing devices by adding automation elements.Provide automation support to departments throughout the organization.The position will require 30% travel (mostly domestic).Essential SkillsPLC programming (Allen Bradley/Rockwell Software Studio 5000, RSLogix 500 - potentially some Modicon).HMI programming (FactoryTalk View ME, FactoryTalk View SE, RSLinx).Ladder Logic programming language.Ability to read/interpret technical drawings and schematics.Design experience with AutoCAD.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an Associates degree in Industrial Automation preferred.2+ years of experience in PLC and HMI programming.Experience in process controls and/or water/wastewater is nice to have.Must be able to travel 25%-30% of the time.Work Environment
Casual dress code. The position will require 25%-30% travel (mainly domestic). The company offers a hybrid work schedule and is a growing organization with recent investments.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
