Job details We are looking for a talented Controls Engineer to develop, maintain, and optimize control systems for operations. This role will involve working with a variety of control hardware and software to design and implement automated systems for manufacturing, process control, and/or facility management. You will collaborate with other engineers, tech ... nicians, sales engineers, and project managers to ensure systems operate efficiently and meet safety standards. The Controls Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, implementation, and execution of technical projects. This role will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, maintaining a focus on quality, efficiency, and innovation. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement control systems for automation projects.
Program and configure PLCs, SCADA systems, HMIs, and other control hardware/software.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize control systems to ensure they operate reliably and efficiently.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and design specifications.
Test and validate control systems to ensure they meet technical and safety standards.
Develop control strategies and algorithms for new projects and system upgrades.
Perform system integration, ensuring seamless communication between devices and equipment.
Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and start-up phases of projects.
Document system designs, control processes, and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as IEC 61131, NFPA 70, and OSHA guidelines.
Provide training and support to operators and maintenance personnel on system functionality.
Monitor the performance of installed systems and make recommendations for improvements.
Design, develop, and implement engineering solutions in alignment with project requirements.
Analyze technical problems and provide efficient, practical solutions.
Manage or assist with project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Create and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation.
Work collaboratively with teams across engineering, design, sales, and construction departments.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
Continuously improve engineering processes and contribute to innovation within the company.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for operational challenges.
Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project progress to stakeholders.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Experience with advanced control techniques (e.g., PID tuning, model predictive control).
Familiarity with programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block.
Experience with robotics, motion control, or instrumentation integration.
Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST), Project Management Professional (PMP)) are a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Experience with design software, project management, equipment testing, considered a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot and debug both hardware and software components.
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in automation systems (e.g., functional safety, SIL).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control.
Professional Engineering certifications (e.g., PE, PMP, etc.) are a plus.
Experience with cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the specific discipline (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, etc.).
