Job Title: Automation Control Systems Project Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Controls Project Engineer with strong experience in electrical and control systems. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of current NEC, NFPA 70E, UL508a, UL698a, and UL 1203 standards, as well as experience with AutoCAD, electrical panels, and control panels. The role involves reviewing and interpreting customer specifications and documents to develop control system design strategies for industrial applications. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing customer machine or process functional requirements to develop cost-effective control system solutions, designing and producing control system manufacturing documents such as Bill of Materials, Control Panel Arrangement Drawings, and Wiring Schematics, and developing or configuring project-specific application software for PLC, HMI, and motor VFD equipment.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide innovative technical solutions for automation needs in system upgrades and new equipment projects.
+ Integrate PLCs, HMI operator terminals, motor variable speed drives, machine vision cameras, motion controllers, computer & device networks, and instrumentation.
+ Engage in circuit design, hardware selection, BOM development, control panel arrangement drawings, and wiring schematics.
+ Develop software (PLC & HMI), conduct on-site wiring checkout, and assist with equipment start-up.
+ Collaborate with the Sales Department for project analysis and customer proposal development.

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in York, Pennsylvania and some days remote.
Work Environment
Office setting with less than 30% travel. The role involves working closely with Project Coordinators/Estimators to release manufacturing documents for costing purposes or for procurement and production. This is a very collaborative work environment, and a hybrid work option is available as the candidate gets up to speed on products, with a timeline of 6-12 months.
