Job Title: Control Systems Engineer
Job Description
As a Control Systems Engineer, you will work with a team to design, implement, and revise control systems to meet product requirements. During the concept phase, you will document and design control systems based on input from a product development team and product specifications. Crane control systems incorporate electrical, hydraulic, and software subsystems. During the detailed design phase, you will implement and test control systems statically, on test benches, and on cranes. You will also support product service and production. The typical work week is Monday through Thursday in the office, with Fridays remote.
Responsibilities
+ Write requirements, design, and document control systems for new products.
+ Use fundamental knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and software systems to collaborate with the product development team.
+ Troubleshoot control systems that incorporate hydraulic, electrical, and software subsystems.
+ Clearly define steps to complete assigned tasks and accurately estimate the time required.
+ Define risks that could delay task completion.
+ Collaborate with groups within the engineering, production, production service, and testing departments.
+ Take responsibility for mistakes with a positive attitude and provide correction and prevention plans.
+ Supervise internal or external contractors.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in C++ and C programming for embedded applications.
+ Experience with embedded programming and Linux.
+ Ability to read and create hydraulic and electrical schematics.
+ Experience designing control systems for off-highway or construction equipment.
+ Work history in a production and product design environment.
+ Working knowledge of Functional Safety requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or Electrical Mechanical Engineering.
+ 5-8 years of experience in the field.
Work Environment
The work schedule typically includes 4-5 days at the facility. A temperature check is required prior to entering the facility, and masks are mandatory.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
