YOUR ROLE: Provide frontline technical support and continuous improvement to operations daily. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining, and identifying areas of improvement to better the uptime and reliability of control systems throughout the plant. Assist Controls Engineers in projects from concept through completion. Must have good teamwork and communication skills to smoothly implement key projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Frontline resource for day-to-day troubleshooting of controls issuesAssist other departments in troubleshooting and determining production issuesInstall and swap out damaged electrical or automation equipmentPerform emergency controls troubleshooting and fixes on equipment and facility systemsAssist Controls Engineers with projects and implementing improvementsAid in the installation of equipment, repairs, upgrades, panel building, and wiring as neededUnderstand all automation equipment used throughout the plantEnsure work is being completed professionally and to Therma-Tru Controls department standardsQualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience or background in control systems or codingHigh school diploma or GEDComputer literateAbility to read blueprints and machine control schematicsAbility to work independently as well as part of a groupMust be willing to work weekends and overtime as neededPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary electrical and/or mechanical vocational trainingKnowledge and experience of Rockwell Software and Allen Bradley controllersAbility to navigate via PLC operation sequence, I/O information, and instrumentation feedbackKnowledge of Fanuc roboticsAdditional Information
