The St. Louis office is currently seeking a Controls Technician who will be responsible for upgrading, modifying, and
programming automated equipment for the local site of a global consumer product manufacturer!
$85K – $95K
No Travel + Multiple Shifts Available
Key Duties
· Manage troubleshooting/support for electrical issues on production lines as well as facility equipment and infrastructure across the campus.
· Conduct routine and advanced PLC program modifications through project upgrades and maintenance troubleshooting activities.
· Develop new control systems for automation projects.
· Lead troubleshooting for equipment PLC programs to minimize downtime.
· Create new PLC programs where necessary.
· Design and implement control systems using sensors, motion control, and feedback loops
Top Skills Details
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with a preference for Electrical Technology or Controls Systems. (Will take someone with no degree if they have the relevant experience)
· 4-6 years of relevant electrical controls technician experience in manufacturing
· Capable to interpret and apply NEC, NFPA, and OSHA codes.
· Familiar with 3-phase electrical power applications.
· Experience with RS500, RS5000, Studio5000 and View Studio
· Experience with servo motors and controls.
· Demonstrated ability with PLC troubleshooting, interface, and programming skills.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and prints.
