Job Title: Controls Technician

Pay Range: $25-$36.50

Job Description

The Controls Technician is an advanced industrial electrical technician responsible for supporting troubleshooting and commissioning with Engineers at client sites and during project completions. The role requires proficiency in control systems, particularly using PLC systems such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Beckhoff, and the ability to work independently in high-pressure situations. The ideal candidate will interact with both external and internal customers to resolve problems efficiently and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.

ResponsibilitiesSupport troubleshooting and commissioning tasks using PLC systems such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Beckhoff.Work independently at client sites and during project completions.Interact with external and internal customers to resolve problems efficiently.Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to ensure smooth project completion.Perform basic PLC programming and assist in maintaining a functional workspace.Occasionally wire panels or perform other manufacturing tasks.Work in various environments, including airports, entertainment venues, and manufacturing spaces.Work in hot, cold, and dirty environments and meet physical requirements such as navigating obstacles and confined spaces.Travel up to 85% depending on the project and work in day and night shifts.Essential SkillsStrong electrical troubleshooting skillsAbility to read electrical schematics, troubleshoot issues, and produce electrical prints.Create control panels from electrical prints or schematics.Familiarity with PLC controls and troubleshooting.At least 2 years of experience in the industrial or processing automation industries.Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.High school diploma or AS Degree with equivalent applied experience.Excellent communication skills with the ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations.Work Environment

Controls Technician’s work environment includes airports, entertainment venues, manufacturing spaces, and the internal Panel Shop. The work involves exposure to hot, cold, and dirty conditions, and physical activities such as navigating obstacles and confined spaces. The position requires travel up to 85%, working both day and night shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.50
