Controls Technician
Job Title: Electrical Equipment Tester

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Equipment Tester with experience in the electrical field, particularly in panel building and testing of electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing 600-volt battery backup enclosures to ensure functionality and durability, and to troubleshoot any issues that arise. This position is scheduled to work through the end of February 2025, with a strong possibility of extension. Candidates with PLC and automation skills may have the opportunity to transition into a Level 2 role involving editing, modification, and schematic design.

ResponsibilitiesBuild electrical panels and set up electrical testing equipment.Test 600-volt batteries for functionality and durability.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during testing.Work under the oversight of Lead Controls Technicians and Engineers.Read and interpret electrical schematics.Perform PLC editing and modifications, if experienced.Contribute to panel design when applicable.Essential SkillsExperience in building electrical panels.Knowledge of electrical and electronic controls.Ability to work with 600-volt battery systems.Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.Strong problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in the electrical field, particularly in panel building and testing of electrical equipment.Experience with schematic design and interpretation.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication skills for effective documentation and reporting.Work Environment

The position offers a Monday to Friday work schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime. The role is based in a new facility equipped with a gym, promoting a great culture and a clean work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00
