Job Title: Controls Technician
Job Description

In this role, you will be traveling up to 50% of the time nationwide. You will provide on-site support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning of control systems and automation equipment at client sites across North America. You will work closely with our engineering and project teams to ensure the successful deployment and ongoing operation of control systems.

ResponsibilitiesTravel up to 50% of the time nationwide to customer sites for installation, start-up, and commissioning of equipment.Provide on-site support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning of control systems and automation equipment.Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure successful deployment and ongoing operation of control systems.Troubleshoot issues over the phone with customers when not traveling.Work with and troubleshoot equipment on the shop floor.Perform check-outs of control panels and equipment.Interact frequently with the in-house panel shop, other Controls Engineers, Project Managers, and external Customers.Modify and troubleshoot existing PLC code, primarily Allen-Bradley systems.Use a digital multimeter for electrical troubleshooting.Follow electrical safety protocols and procedures.Maintain excellent customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills.Essential SkillsStrong electrical troubleshooting skills.Ability to read and interpret schematics (24VDC, 120VAC, 480VAC).Experience with PLC/HMI troubleshooting (primarily Allen-Bradley systems).Ability to use a digital multimeter.Excellent customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of electrical safety protocols and procedures.Must have a valid Driver’s License and the ability to operate company vehicles.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociates degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.A minimum of 3 years’ experience in related fields.Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are nice to have.Work Environment

This position is in the Concrete Batching Group. You will travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites, with busier travel times in Fall and Winter, and travel to the US and Canada. When not traveling, you will be onsite troubleshooting equipment and fielding customer calls. A hybrid work-from-home option may be available in the future once settled in the role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00
