Job Title: Controls Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician for a 12-month contract-to-hire role. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, experience with reading electrical prints, and proficiency in troubleshooting and editing PLCs. This role involves significant travel and hands-on work with various projects, there will be overtime up to 40 hours when traveling (paid 1.5x).

ResponsibilitiesUtilize AutoCAD Electrical regularly and read electrical prints.Troubleshoot and edit PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley PLCs, which constitute over 95% of our systems.Work with VFDs, timers, and other electrical components.Responsible for installation from IO checkout.Collaborate with electricians for testing, startup, and commissioning of project phases.Set up communication with other equipment, with some training provided.Travel up to 80-90%, typically in cycles of 10 days on-site followed by 3 days off.Work in the office and shop with engineering groups during non-travel periods.Must Have QualificationsReading prints in AutoCAD EPLC troubleshooting/editing in Allen BradleyAbility to travel up to 80%\"Nice to have\" QualificationsWriting PLC codeKuka robotic programmingWork Environment

-Newer, modern facility- shop is filled with projects, everything is clean. Their huge doors open to allow fresh air and it is temperature controlled when things get too hot.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
