Job Description
This position is with the Production Engineering (PE) Battery Team. The role involves supporting the Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering (VME) Battery Pack Assembly group's equipment development and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have over 3 years of relevant technical experience.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the equipment development for the PE VME Battery Pack Assembly group.Develop and confirm equipment specifications to ensure standards compliance.Conduct equipment machine risk assessments and confirmation activities.Perform equipment checks for safety, electrical, and mechanical design confirmations.Confirm safety interlocks for equipment, conveyor, and logistics hardware.Support equipment confirmations at vendor buy-off trials and larger zone trials.Adjust equipment to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Omron, or Siemens).Technical experience in equipment safety, troubleshooting, and automation.Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical drawings.Familiarity with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams).Experience in manufacturing equipment procurement, installation, and confirmation.Experience with Kawasaki or Fanuc Industrial Robots for part transfer or auto-tightening.Experience with Keyence or other vision system setup and integration.Experience with AMRs, AGVs, and AGV traffic control systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications2-year associate's degree in a technical field, completion of a trade school, or 3+ years of relevant technical experience.Ability and willingness to work up to 25% overtime, including 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% at peak times, both domestically and internationally.Work Environment
The position is located at TMMK, Georgetown, KY and is 100% on-site. The duration of the contract is 12 months with a possibility of extension. Working hours are either 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM local time. Candidates should be local and available to travel immediately, with travel reaching up to 50% during peak times domestically in the US, to Canada, Mexico, and possibly Japan. Overtime may be required up to 25%, including weekdays and weekends as per project needs. Personal protective equipment, including steel toe shoes and safety glasses, is required. Other PPE will be provided by the company.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
