**Job Title: Controls Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician with a strong understanding of HVAC principles for Building Management Systems (BMS). The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the assembly and modification of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, robotic operations, and vision systems. They will be responsible for connecting, testing, and maintaining electrical systems for various purposes including climate control, security, and communications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble, modify, and maintain manufacturing equipment.
+ Connect, test, and maintain electrical systems including climate control, security, and communications.
+ Understand 3-phase distribution and power transmission systems, including testing equipment rated at 480v and below.
+ Utilize and manage BMS software and hardware.
+ Ensure proper grounding practices and Motor Control Center (MCC) safety.
+ Work with electrical components used in automation systems such as solenoids, beacons, and proximity switches.
+ Handle PLC hardware including Pico Controllers, MicroLogix 1500, CompactLogix, and SLC 500 systems.
+ Assist with mechanical and maintenance tasks including wiring contactors, motors, belts, rollers, drives, chains, pulleys, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and PLCs.
+ Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance the accuracy and reliability of PLC and PC-based automation systems.
+ Coordinate with internal engineering staff and equipment vendors for system improvements.
+ Perform preventive maintenance and manage electrical/control parts inventory.
+ Maintain accurate records such as work orders, timesheets, and parts requests.
+ Assist other maintenance department members as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Troubleshooting and designing PLC logic, operator interface terminals, and energy management systems.
+ Statistical interpretation and improvement of automated system performance.
+ Experience with preventive maintenance for controls and systematized inventory management.
+ Ability to work independently and safely with limited supervision.
+ Flexibility to work any shift and weekends as scheduled.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Familiarity with WAGO-I/O System, Siemens Simatic Step 7, Controller Area Network (CAN), and B&R I/O systems is a plus.
+ Strong communication and partnership skills with internal engineering staff and equipment vendors.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in a large warehouse environment with extensive conveyor systems. The maintenance team is divided into categories with this role focusing on controls. Openings are available for 1st shift, Wednesday-Saturday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Training will likely occur on 1st shift, Monday-Friday for 2-5 weeks. All tools and PPE are provided.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $79040.00 - $93600.00/yr.

$5,000 sign on bonus- candidates must work a full 2 years to not pay back.
