Conversation Designer, Alexa Personality, Alexa Experiences & Services
The Alexa UX team is seeking a Conversation Designer to design the voice interaction model for customers across features. In this role, you will work closely with UX designers on multimodal devices to define the end-to-end interaction across modalities and device form factors. You will also work with researchers, product management, engineering, data science, and operational teams as you go from early-stage product concepts to launches of new features and experiences.

Key job responsibilities
* Create world-class, user-centered designs through consideration of UX research, market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability study findings
* Demonstrate leadership in driving design processes into the organization that help refine strategy.
* Translate business requirements into use cases and high-level customer experience requirements
* Design the interface and interaction flow of new voice and multimodal applications
* Develop conceptual diagrams and voice interaction prototypes
* Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications
* Present design work to the user experience team, product team, engineering team, Amazon.com leadership, and external partners for review and feedback
* Work with our usability and data mining teams to assess and optimize new and existing features
* Develop high level strategy for customers for both near and long term.
* Collaborate with other design team members on experiences, frameworks, process, and best practices.

A day in the life
Each day, you will share notes and updates with like-minded design owners across the Alexa team. You’ll then work directly with product managers to understand requirements, and develop design concepts that will be reviewed with leadership. You’ll also work with dev teams to deliver detailed visual and interaction specifications. While the environment will be fast-paced, you’ll always be embedded in a community of designers and researchers who are ready to provide feedback and support. The Alexa UX team is at the forefront of creating innovative experiences that meet customer needs across Echo devices with screens, mobile apps including the Alexa App, Fire TV, tablets, and more.
