Conversion Supervisor
Position: Requisition Conversion SupervisorDepartment: OperationsReports To: Operations Director or DesigneeFLSA Status: Full-time, Hourly, Non-ExemptGENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an opening at the Pensacola Bay Center for a Requisition Conversion Supervisor that will assist the Production Manager with the daily activities required to run, maintain, and service the facility and/or the events towards ensuring the event and production needs are met for the venue, client and patrons.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise labor calls for local IATSE, along with any additional contracted labor force for productionAssist in developing and executing a plan to fulfill riders, advances, labor calls, and equipment for eventsFacilitate scheduling, training, and evaluation of part-time production employeesProduce events while maintaining a high degree of public safety in line with all life safety codesEnsure set up is completed as required with the proper equipment providedWork with all departments as needed to maintain technical and event related equipment in the venueAdminister follow-up inspections to ensure work is complete and provide evaluation reportsProvide quality service and execution through daily operations and event productionFacilitate venue readiness by supervising and working along with various labor crews during Requisition Conversions, load in, show, load out, and meeting room servicesParticipate in securing the venue during daily operations, event days, emergency operations and venue closuresCondition the ice during the scheduled ice hours for the hockey tenant and all recreational ice programs, to include driving the Zamboni, edging, and floodingMaintain records for events assigned and verify internal consistency of associated documentsOther duties as assigned by ManagementSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:ยท Supervise the local IATSE part time employees during Requisition Conversions, show calls and daily operations with ability to supervise large groups and/or many small groups at the same timeDemonstrate supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM Global's policies and applicable laws.Work with the Production Manager to interview, hire and train employees; plan, assign and direct work; review and evaluate performance; address complaints and resolve problemsQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Demonstrate knowledge in industry terminology, NFPA life safety codes, general and local IATSE policies and procedures, facility capabilities, operational procedures, OSHA guidelines, event coordination and production/technical related servicesDemonstrate general knowledge and understanding of theatrical rigging, stage building, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, telephone and internet support, show power, electrical work, exhibition show sets and field wiring, ice rink operations, banquet sets and meeting room functionsAbility to work with limited supervision, prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously while exercising judgment and initiative in addressing complaints and resolving problems Ability to train and direct employees to plan and assign work in an efficient and effective mannerAbility to operate sound, lighting, audio-visual and other industry related equipmentEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required and/or experience with management, theatre and technical productionHands-on, professional event production experience in the industry for arena, theatre, stadium, and/or convention center; or equivalent combination of education and experienceComputer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate skill in Windows, MS Office, CAD and Adobe.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsPossess any licenses, certificates or training required by local, state or national authorities for the operation of the equipment found at the facility, in particular rigging, carpentry, stage production, electrical, vehicles (Zamboni, forklift, tenant, etc.) is preferred.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
