Compensation: Compensation is dependent on experience and ranges from $24.50 - $25.73 hourly.
General Summary:
Monitoring and scheduling of docks, conveyances, lift/cart oversight, dock control oversight and, printing and signage.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist with any security controls for entrances to docks and monitoring/documenting of deliveries and pickups.
· Check dock lighting, heating and exhibit hall/roll door access before and after use.
· Oversee and enforce the dock pass program and systems.
· Review event documents for all dock usage and assignments with dock pass system.
· Coordinate with General Service Contractors & AV companies along with rental companies for lift/carts deliveries on timing of drop off / pick up and storage onsite.
· Enforce cart/lift drop off and pick up, as well as improper use on property.
· Assist with creation of building drawings and plans.
· Work with the Operations team to coordinate dock access and parking of vehicles around building activities.
· Assist with signage printing and placement.
· Make sure conveyance signage is current and looks appropriate for the public.
· Oversee and maintain overall conditions of docks and report all issues through work reports.
· Oversee dock master and booths for damage before and after use.
· Perform pre-event functionality tests and schedule preventative maintenance/inspections/certifications and maintain records for all conveyances within the facility.
· Inspect escalator and elevators during daily usage for any issues or concerns to report to Conveyance vendor for facility.
· Coordinate and schedule service and freight elevator usage for internal and event use.
· Assist with HET processes and/or operate elevator or escalators during events to minimize improper use or damage when needed.
· Work with GSC’s and vendors to ensure all facility/company policy, safety procedures and guidelines are followed.
· Enforce dock parking, assignments and write tickets.

Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Some experience in facility or dock control preferred
· Clearly demonstrated quick and accurate ability at problem solving
Skills and Abilities:
· Demonstrate excellent communication (verbal and written) and inter-personal skills among all levels of staff and clientele, required
· Previous experience with shipping/receiving and scheduling in a dock/event environment preferred
· Ability to speak, understand, and read standard English, required;
· Work effectively with diverse groups of people among all levels within an organization; skill to work effectively as part of a team, required
· Excellent problem solving and organizational skills, required
· Provide customer service in a professional considerate manner, required
· Excellent record of dependability and reliability, required
· Ability to work independently; with minimal supervision
Computer Skills:
· Sufficient computer skills including ability to create word documents and excel spreadsheets to maintain inventory and other departmental related tracking and ability to do training and operational audits preferred
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
· None required, fork lift certification preferred
