We are currently looking for a Conveyance Engineering Design Lead to join our Toronto office and take part in exciting and engaging water infrastructure projects of varying size and complexity. You will have the chance to work on key infrastructures including: - Large and small diameter watermains and sewers - Distribution and collection networks - Pipe Rehabilitation As a Conveyance Engineering Design Lead you will be responsible for supporting overall work progress and technical performance on the projects. Working with other members of our team, you'll work closely with business group project delivery leadership or other senior project manager/operations leaders who provide oversight and mentoring. Key duties will include the oversight of: - Oversight of engineering calculations and drawing preparation (e.g. hydraulics, pipe design, fittings and reinforcement, material and equipment selection) - Technical Memos, Reports, and Specifications - Alignment selection - Chamber/station layout and design - Coordination of design with various stakeholders for permits and approvals Note: Our hybrid work environment expectations for team members are an average office/site presence of 2 days per week. * Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or applicable discipline and/or equivalent experience). * Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) as a professional engineer in the Province of Ontario * Minimum 8+ years’ experience in an engineering consulting environment. * Understanding of relevant American Water Works Association (AWWA) and Hydraulic Institute Standards (HIS) an asset * Experience managing and coordinating multiple disciplines on small to large projects, including the ability to successfully manage scope, schedule, and budget, an asset * Experience in design of large and small diameter linear infrastructure * Experience in trenchless design with methods such as HDD, TBM and MTBM * Experience in condition assessment, rehabilitation, an asset * Experience proposal preparation and lead, and asset * Experience in Alternate delivery methods, an asset. * Experience designing using Autodesk, Microstation software * Experience using hydraulic modelling software an asset * Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills * Excellent report writing skills #LI-ID1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
