Job Description

Recently announced that the Princeton Indiana facility will begin production of two fully electric SUV vehicles in 2027. They currently manufacture the Highlander, Lexus TX, Grand Highlander, and others. The fully electric SUVs are scheduled for launch in March 2027 and October 2027. Over the next two years, 80% of the work will involve the current conveyance and logistics operations at TMMI. This will be the first major overhaul of the conveyance lines that have been moving vehicles through the facility over the past 27 years. The three selected candidates will support this group.The selected candidates will be supporting conveyance route planning, automated cart conveying, automated guided vehicle installations, and automated part handling initiatives for TMH. They will take into account the weight increase for vehicles, add new conveyance lines, split current conveyance lines, remodel the layout lines, create vehicle traffic patterns, and plan routes.Primary Activities Include:- (50%) Project Planning with Plant Logistics and Final Assembly teams for upcoming model changes.- (30%) Evaluating model change impact on Logistics and Assembly processes and developing technical equipment change requirements.- (10%) Development of new technologies and vendor base for Production Engineering and Manufacturing Material Handling industry competitiveness improvement within Assembly.- (10%) Leading equipment projects from concept to launch for Logistics Automation technology to Assembly across the NAMCs.Close collaboration and relationship building with internal and external groups including TMNA Final Assembly Engineering Project Leaders, NAMC’s Pilot team, Logistics, Maintenance, Internal Logistics Engineering regional team, PEPD, and others.
