Job Summary:
Messiah Lifeways features three main restaurants on the campus of Messiah Lifeways at Messiah Village. These restaurants each feature unique menus with themed events and meals open to the public. We are looking for cooks in various levels of their career to help enhance the dining experience. Growth opportunities are available. The overall objective and purpose of the Cook 2 position are to prepare and plan breakfast, lunch and dinner items while providing the highest level of service in support of the company's mission, core values, standards, and goals.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepares high quality food items according to recipes and standards to meet timelines for service for residents and guests to include: saute, braising, grill, batch cooking, fry and preparation
Maintains clean and sanitary work area
Responsible for set-up of assigned work station
Set up work station ensuring all requirements are organized prior to start of food service
Plan and prep accordingly for the following day
Daily inspection of assigned work station to ensure proper rotation of product and that all products are labeled and dated and complies with all regulations
Must be familiar with all kitchen equipment and machinery including safe operation and maintenance
Inform Chef on duty of any problems, concerns, inconsistencies, or product shortages
Responsible for proper closing procedures of assigned station
Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
