Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort offers a luxurious adults-only wellness enclave on the secluded Hawaiian island of Lāna‘i. At the heart of it all is the Sensei Way, an evidence-led approach integrating healthy living practices into three simple paths – Move, Nourish and Rest. COOK 2 

Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort, is looking for a Cook 2 who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams’ have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

The Cook 2 is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to preparing specialized innovative, New Style, Japanese cuisine per guest orders in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

Attention to detail and a strong work ethic. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about cuisine! 

Ability to work harmoniously with other team members and supervisors on a daily basis to ensure a flawlessly executed final product 

Is required to operate, maintain and properly clean a deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, meat and cheese slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill. 

Our Cook 2’s work on the hot line for service (fish station, grill station, bar station) 

Proficient knife skills are also required.

WHAT TO BRING 

Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States 

Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card  

Advanced culinary knowledge is required for this position (preference of 2 years minimum working in culinary or related work experience) 

This position requires continuous standing for up to 8 hours per shift and the ability to lift up to 70lbs. 

Weekend and Holiday availability required.
