DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Cook 2 position at King's Gap Mansion is an exciting and dynamic lead role that is not just about cooking. In this capacity, you will expertly perform and oversee a variety of tasks in both housekeeping and food services, showcasing your skills and leadership abilities.
You will assign, participate in, and oversee the cleaning of cooking utensils, equipment, floors, wood surfaces, and all areas in the production area. You will supervise the laundering and ironing of linens, including sheets, bedspreads, towels, and tablecloths, ensuring high standards. You will manage and inspect the cleaning of the mansion, including offices, bedrooms, bathrooms, and restrooms. Additionally, you will perform similar duties in the Education Building, ensuring all events are thoroughly prepared for and cleaned up after.
In the food service industry, you will confidently lead and evaluate the work of junior cooks and food service workers engaged in specialized and routine tasks related to food production and cleaning. You will effectively coordinate the functions performed by these cooks to ensure various menu items are prepared simultaneously and delivered on a strict schedule. Your role involves directing cooking techniques and procedures while developing and enhancing recipes to achieve the highest quality and quantity standards. Moreover, you will take charge of ordering all necessary cooking ingredients and supplies and cleaning and housekeeping materials while maintaining and updating recipe files to ensure optimal efficiency and performance.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Seasonal full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Desirable Preparation For Work:
+ Experience as a cook in a large volume food preparation operation;or
