As a Cook, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional culinary experiences that are both delicious and environmentally responsible. Compensation is $19-$23 an hour. Division: Constellation - Elior North America Location: The New York Botanical Garden, Bronx, NY Reports to: Food & Beverage Operations // Executive Chef **Key Responsibilities:** · Efficiently prepare ingredients and cook top-tier dishes and menu items, ensuring culinary standards and quality presentation. · Assist in the setup of the kitchen for service, including stocking and storing food and supplies. · Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment, following all food safety and sanitation protocols. · Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely food preparation and service. · Contribute to our sustainable practices and continuously improve culinary skills and knowledge **Qualifications:** · At least one year’s prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment. · Food handlers’ certification is preferred. · Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards. · Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify and differentiate food items. **Skills:** · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. · Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. · Reliable and able to handle physical demands of a kitchen setting. **Why Work Here:** · Sustainable Focus - Be part of a team that is passionate about creating a positive environmental impact.
