Position Summary:
Person in this position will assist in the provision of meals. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
Prepare all meals in accordance with approved menus, meeting mealtime schedules. Record client/staff meal census. Maintain high (Health Department) standards, cleanliness, sanitation, including the wearing of gloves and/or hairnets and/or caps at all time within food preparation and serving areas. Prepare requisitions for food and commodities as needed. Receive and store all deliveries properly. Assure that equipment is in good operating condition and that temperatures are within proper standards. Be constantly aware of fire and safety hazards. Report repair/maintenance needs to supervisor. Label, date, and store all left-overs in accordance with safe food handling requirements. Maintain professional standards at all times with food preparation and handling, as well as maintaining a high level of good housekeeping. Maintain current inventory on all commodities and stored goods. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some possible evenings and weekends. Complete documentation of services, if required, on provided forms in a timely manner. Assist other WestCare staff as needed in a collaborative manner to promote cooperation and portray a professional image to the community.
