ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Fry Cook II for ASM based at The Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex in Austin, Texas.
This position functions under General Supervision within the Operations Department and assists in managing the venue Food Court.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Includes but are not limited to the following:
Cleans food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils daily and to a high standard.Cooks and packages batches of food, which are prepared to order or kept warm until sold.Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer. Must be able to multi-task and prepare multiple orders simultaneously.Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas.Measures ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep fryers, Turbo Chef Ovens, drink machines, slushy machines, etc. (Will train to suit).Prepare and serve beverages such as coffee, slushys and fountain drinks.Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by patron, and prepare and cook food according to instructions.Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.Wash, cut, and prepare food items designated for cooking.Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases.Ability to assist in supply orders, receive deliveries, and inventory all kitchen items.Schedule activities and equipment use with department managers (or other relevant staff) using information regarding daily menus to help coordinate cooking times.May accept patron orders and receive payment at POS system.May operate a restaurant pager system to manage large groups.Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or GED; and at least 2 years related experience in a commercial cooking environment. Menu includes fast food, grab-and-go, oven baked meats, pizzas, and deep- fried items.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills. Must be dependable, and in keeping with all required food safety, professionalism, and hygiene standards. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple orders simultaneously. Must be flexible and able to improvise when required.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to work an irregular schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays and provide excellent customer service. Must have or be able to obtain a food safety certification while completing the onboarding process for this role. TABC Certification a plus! Must be able to pass a US criminal background check. Age 18+. Must be authorized to work in the US. Manager’s Certification a plus!
