Description

This position is responsible for performing a variety of cook duties for patients, staff, vistors, and special functions at the Santa Monica Hospital cafeteria and kitchen. Tasks include setting up service lines, pre-plating foods, preparation of meals, and serving customers.

You will be responsible for:

Reviewing menus, production sheets, recipes, and inventory to verify needs for the day Cook meat, fowl, fish by baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming Make soups, sauces, stews, and casseroles Clean, peel, cut, slice, dice, weigh and measure ingredients for recipes Plate and/or garnish food for attractive presentation Maintain all foods and ingredients at safe temperatures; record data Maintain food stations sanitary and organized   Salary Range: $20.72-26.79/hour
