Overview SOSi is seeking a Cook for a potential contract located on Camp Taji, Iraq. Essential Job Duties Meets or exceeds industry and food safety standards for preparation, storage, and serving of food. Prepares, seasons, and cooks meals in accordance with standardized recipes. Follows daily production schedules and progressively cook food in batches according to schedule. Carves and trims meats such as beef, veal, ham, pork, and lamb for recipes. Records food temperatures, production, and waste on required documentation. Ensures high standards of personal hygiene and that work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum one (1) year of experience in full service or institutional food service environment. Excellent English communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers and other personnel. Knowledge of food service and sanitation standards. Excellent knife skills for food preparation. Ability to consistently arrive punctually and contribute to positive dining atmosphere. Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Work Environment Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable at times. Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions. Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary. May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
