**Job Title: Cook** **Job Description** Will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events. **Responsibilities** + Prepare, portion, and cook a variety of hot and cold food items. + Present food items in an appealing manner for various meal periods. + Ensure all food preparation and presentation meet quality standards. + Participate in the planning and execution of special/catered events. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in cooking and food preparation. + Strong customer service skills. + Experience in food service, foodservice operations, and hospitality. + Ability to work as a line cook or chef. + Experience with food prepping. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Must have food safety certification (also known as foodserv). **Why Work Here?** Our food and catering programs are inspiring, from the creativity that goes into every dish we prepare to the deep culinary knowledge of our chefs. The work schedule is from Sunday through Thursday, with a start time between 6 am and 7 am, for up to 8 hours per day. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vallejo, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
