CookResponsibilities:This position works in the main kitchen preparing food items for the facility. Fulfilling the service per each Banquet Event Orders (BEO). Must be creative in designing buffet food presentations. Preparing recipes as directed. Maintaining all kitchen equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance. Maintain clean safe working environment.Will sometimes be requried to cook in concession stands.Qualifications:At least one-year experience in a banquet facility preparing meals for large events.High School diploma or G.E.D or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust have ability to coordinate multiple tasks, meet production/service time schedules, and adapt to necessary and unforeseen changesMust have the ability to work in a team environmentAdequate culinary and knife skillsAbility to read recipes and follow instructionsFamiliar with all kitchen equipmentShow attention to detailMust have the ability to pass both criminal background checkMust have current Serve Safe food handlers permitSMG is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer, and encourages Women, Minorities, Individuals and Disabilities, and protected Veterans to apply.
