We are seeking a dedicated candidate to join our team at Aria as a Cook for Conventions and Banquets. If you have prior experience cooking in high-volume banquet or similar settings, we invite you to apply and become part of our exceptional team.

THE JOB:

As a Cook for the Conventions and Banquets team, you will create exceptional guest experiences by providing high-quality food, applying culinary techniques, and collaborating with front-of-house staff. Your responsibilities include operating kitchen equipment safely, replenishing supplies, labeling and dating products, ensuring excellent plate presentation, supporting the kitchen team, preparing base sauces, stocks, and soups, and addressing guest needs.

THE STARTING RATE: $24.6173/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Possess thorough knowledge of food products and adeptly apply culinary techniques.

Recognize and safely operate kitchen equipment.

Replenish kitchen supplies and necessary food items for service.

Accurately label and date products for proper storage and sanitation.

Demonstrate strong menu comprehension and meticulous attention to plate presentation.

Support kitchen leadership and team members during service.

Exhibit proficiency in preparing base sauces, stocks, and soups.

Collaborate effectively within a team environment, addressing all guest needs and inquiries.

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Is comfortable in a restaurant kitchen and with the use of culinary tools, equipment, and techniques.

Prior cooking experience in conventions and banquets or a similar high-volume setting.

Can always maintain professionalism.

Takes pride in their work, provides a safe environment, and maintains health standards.

Describes themselves as detail oriented.

Looks forward to working with a team to provide positive experiences.

Can handle multiple tasks at one time.

Flexibility to work various shifts/hours as needed per on call requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

High school diploma or equivalent.

Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
