* School Location- CREC Academy of Aerospace & Engineering Elementary (Rocky Hill) * Preparing and cooking of food according to HHFKA standards and recipes. Delegate duties and monitor other team members. * Serves meals to students and staff. * Records temps and time and Production Order records accordingly. * Performs cleaning duties, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing. * Sets up hot and/or cold food area and service lines. * Delivers, when necessary, food to staff, students and catering events. * Prepares and serve food according to menus. * Checks and stores incoming supplies. * Prepares documents with GM for State and/ or internal audits * Participates on safety committee. * Attends all mandatory in-service programs. * Supports the goals, objective and mission statement set forth by Whitsons. * Performs all other duties as assigned. Work Schedule - Mon - Fri - 7am - 3pm * (8 hrs./day) Subject to Change * ServSafe is required. * Culinary background is required - Must have a passion and an interest in food. * High school graduate or equivalent. * Minimum 2-year experience in K-12 programs preferably. Strong interest in school nutrition program development. * Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments. * Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling. * Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment. * Always present a positive and professional image. * Basic English Reading and Writing Skills * Able to Pass Background Screening and Fingerprint.
